It is believed that such works are intended exclusively for a teenage audience, for children who have not yet grown up or do not want to grow up to serious works, philosophical books with a deep meaning. This is a stereotype that is densely embedded in our heads, and, like any other, it needs a refutation.

The benefits and value of fiction

In fact, any science fiction, like books in general, apart from pulp fiction, fulfills its most important and primary function - to educate and educate. Even science fiction for preschool children primarily teaches them some useful things: to empathize and sympathize, to help others. Such works are very primitive, because the child still does not know how to reason in full force. But there are books in which the presence of some fantastic creature is not the most important thing in the plot. The author includes such “something” in his creation for the sake of reading thrills, and the main idea is usually based on a philosophical, social, moral or political subtext.
