As a retired captain and professor of navigation at a nautical school, he tells one of his students the incredible story of his trip around the world, on which he went on a sailing yacht “Trouble” with his assistants Lom and Fuchs.
First, the heroes moored off the coast of Norway, where their first adventures awaited them: the insidious ebb and flow of the fjords and a forest fire, from which they escaped thanks to squirrels jumping from a cliff to the "Trouble" and showing them the path to salvation. Having locked the squirrels in the hold, the team, on the advice of the Norwegians, went to Hamburg, where they had to be smart and adapt the squirrel for navigation in order to avoid confiscation of the "Trouble". Selling squirrels to the Hamburg Zoo, sailors went to Holland, from which, with a herd of herrings went to Egypt. On the way, they visited England, where they managed to participate in the race on yachts. Avoiding the pirate attack thanks to Vrungel’s ingenuity, the team arrived in Alexandria, where they successfully sold herrings and continued their journey through Africa. Sailing along the Red Sea, the crew of the "Troubles" were captured by the Italian invaders, but, thanks to the quick wits of Fuchs and pasta, the team freed themselves and sailed to the Atlantic.
Sailing across the Atlantic, the crew encountered a cold sperm whale, and when trying to feed it with aspirin, the crew enters the ship, where it meets the insidious Japanese admiral Kusaki, who decided to destroy the crew of Vrungel and put them on a desert island. Trying to prepare food, the "Troubles" team accidentally melted the island, because of which the crew split up - Lom swam away in an unknown direction, and Fuchs and Vrungel were nailed to the shores of Hawaii. The flight from Hawaii to Brazil ended in the fact that Fuchs and Vrungel, along with the passengers of the aircraft, were forced to sail along the Amazon to the port of Para. At the port, they met Loma and Admiral Kusaki, who again plotted against the crew.
Arriving in Australia, Vrungel and his team played golf and fought the wiles of Admiral Kusaki. Near the shores of new Guinea, the "Bedou" was overtaken by a typhoon, and then completely calm. Trying to move forward, Vrungel made a kite, on which Lom accidentally flew to China. Having survived the wreck of Bad’s, having returned home and having dealt with his doubles, the team completed the trip around the world with triumph.
