: A lazy and cunning dog often fights with his brother and one day cripples him. After the brother disappears, the dog leaves the house and the village becomes orphaned.
Tresor, “a motley dog with large paws and a sleepy face”, lies all day on the porch, dreaming of breaking into the house and stretching out under the table. He eats a dog from the same bowl with cats, who dutifully sit and wait until the formidable gentleman is satisfied. For greed, the mistress calls Trezor a "tiger."
In the afternoon, Trezor escorts the hostess to the store, where she earns money, and receives from her some goodies. Having eaten a present, the dog goes to bully his brother Mukhtar.
If Tresor is an inveterate parasite, cunning and lazy, then his brother, on the contrary, was hardworking, especially on hunting, strict, angry and therefore sat on a chain.
Trezor comes and teases Mukhtar so that he sometimes breaks off his flail, and then the brothers cling to the "white-and-white tangle", not to pull apart.
These fights happen most often in the winter, when Trezor has nothing to do. In the summer, summer residents gather in the village, and the dog goes around all the houses, each receiving a treat. For food, he guards the houses of summer residents, and the time of "work" of Trezor directly depends on the amount of food. In the fall, having spent the summer cottagers, the dog waits for the pigs to be slaughtered in the yards. Then Trezor gets a tasty bone, which they strive to select cunning crows.
One winter, the dog brothers fight especially violently. Tresor bites Mukhtar some nerve on his head. Mukhtar stalls, goes out, his tail and ears sag, his hair falls out. Soon, Mukhtar was replaced with a hound puppy, and the dog disappears: the owner shot him, the roofing felts Mukhtar himself left to die. Trezor also grows old at once and one day leaves the village, begins to “live on a cattle farm, sleep on straw, no one knows what to eat”. The mistress is trying to bring Trezor home, but the dog does not go.
Maybe behind that village, behind that farm, Mukhtar was buried? Maybe something has turned in the mind of Trezor? Go find out now!
Without a dog, melancholy, the village, as if losing a living soul, becomes an orphan.
